My Story
It was 2015, I was 21 years old and didn't know what to do with my life. The future had always been a big unknown during my adolescence, but it was precisely thanks to this search that I trained in different fields.
At the time, I knew I loved furniture and craftsmanship. For this reason, after not being admitted to the University of Design and Arts in Bolzano, I found myself making furniture in a carpentry and restoration course at Atanor, in Bologna.
There I understood that I had a path already set out for me, but it wasn't in furniture: it was during that course, in fact, that I started creating wooden jewelry. They were very appreciated, so I decided to continue.
Finally, I felt I had found my place in the world and attended the specialization course in Jewelry Design at Poli.design.
But I was wrong: I still wasn't in the right place. I was good at hand drawing and 3D, but job opportunities were few and, I must admit, I missed working with my hands.
The period at the Scuola Orafa Ambrosiana in Milan was the real turning point, allowing me to find a job in a goldsmith's workshop. However, my thirst for learning pushed me to continue my training at Le Arti Orafe in Florence, which I attended for two years thanks to a scholarship.
We arrive in 2021 and I still don't have a clear idea. I go back to working as an employee, but I feel an increasingly strong need to create by expressing my voice. So, at the end of 2023, I decide to quit everything: Morellini Lab is officially born.
We will discover the coming years together...
